Abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty, commonly known as a tummy tuck, is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to remove excess abdominal skin and fat while tightening the underlying musculature. It is often performed in patients with abdominal wall laxity due to pregnancy, weight loss, or aging. The procedure involves a lower abdominal incision through which redundant tissue is excised and the rectus muscles are plicated. It is typically performed under general anesthesia. Postoperative care focuses on preventing complications such as seroma, infection, and ensuring proper wound healing and contour restoration.
